    30.06.2026
How are songs really created and what kind of journey do they take from an initial idea to a finished phonogram? Gramex is launching a new “The Value of Music” video series, and now anyone has the opportunity to apply and share the story behind their own track.

Gramex will launch a new “The Value of Music” video series in June, following the creative processes of three professional artists from an initial idea to a finished phonogram.

The series offers an exceptionally honest insight into music creation – the moments when everything falls into place, as well as those when nothing seems to work.

The first episode will be released on Friday, 12 June 2026, and the episodes will be available on Gramex’s Instagram and TikTok accounts as well as on its YouTube channel.

Music does not come from nothing

Behind a single track often lies a significant amount of work carried out by many people: composing, arranging, recording, producing and collaboration between different professionals. The “The Value of Music” video series makes this work visible.

The series follows artists’ everyday lives in studios and creative processes – the successes, frustrations, decisions and collaboration that ultimately lead to a finished phonogram. At the same time, it highlights why the value of music cannot be measured solely in money, but also in expertise, time and passion.

Apply now and share your story

All professional music creators now have the opportunity to apply to be featured in the video series.

Apply if you would like to:

Artists selected for the series will have the opportunity to document the creation of their own track and make visible both their own work and that of the entire team behind the music.

Continuing the conversation on the value of music

The video series continues Gramex’s “The Value of Music” campaign, originally launched together with JVG, which sparked wide discussion about the significance of music and the appreciation of creative work.

As part of the campaign, JVG sold a unique vinyl single to a party that truly understood the value of music. The decision was not based solely on the financial offer, but on the ability to explain what music means and why it is valuable.

In this new phase, the focus shifts to the process itself: the work and the people whose contribution makes music valuable.
