IK Multimedia describes its new ReSing as a breakthrough that seamlessly integrates vocal modeling into modern music production.

According to the manufacturer, ReSing’s AI technology opens up new possibilities for vocal track production. It can capture and transform even a vocal recording sung into a phone into a performance that sounds like it was delivered by a professional singer. The style, tone, pitch, power, and expression of the vocals can be adjusted, resulting in tracks that are virtually indistinguishable from those recorded in a top-tier studio.

ReSing includes up to 25 vocal models. English and Spanish are currently supported, with more languages on the way. Users can also create their own models within the software.

In addition, ReSing allows users to build bass lines, riffs, and other instrumental parts simply by humming, as it can convert the human voice into various instrument sounds.

ReSing runs on a computer either as a standalone application or as a plug-in for recording software, and it does not require an internet connection to operate.

The price of ReSing in the Finnish market is expected to be around 150 euros.

    Guitar cabinet in your ears

The Blackstar Beam Solo is a headphone amplifier for electric, bass, and acoustic guitars, designed to deliver professional-grade amp tones directly to the player’s ears.

Its Light Beam display, Speed Dial control, and XpressFX effects management make sound editing effortless. The device can also be controlled via a mobile app for iOS or Android. The front-end of the headphone mic input and built-in reverb are suitable not only for guitar but also for vocals. Beam Solo even allows vocal recording, making it a convenient tool for musicians who want to capture both playing and singing in the simplest way possible.

The included CabRig speaker simulator is said to reproduce the sonic characteristics of iconic British and American guitar cabinets, closely mimicking the originals.

With Bluetooth connectivity, you can jam along to your favorite tracks and join a community where you can share your custom sounds and download new ones.

Thanks to its USB-C port, Beam Solo also functions as a high-quality audio interface. The adjustable plug-in connector is reportedly compatible with all types of guitars. The battery is promised to last up to six hours on a single charge. Beam Solo is priced at around 140 euros.

    Pedals in stacks

The Boss PX-1 Plugout FX is a new multi-effects unit that brings the sounds and features of up to 16 iconic Boss pedals together on a single platform. This versatile pedal includes modeled designs from the manufacturer’s classic lineup, offering access to a wide range of legendary tones.

Authenticity is ensured by a powerful DSP engine, which is dedicated entirely to one effect at a time. The controls mimic those of traditional Boss pedals, and a built-in display shows parameters and settings clearly.

The Swap function enables quick effect changes, and most parameters can be adjusted in real time. Tap Tempo and MIDI Clock sync make it easy to manage time-based effects.

The PX-1’s permanent library includes eight classic Boss pedals, such as the OD-1, SD-1, and DS-1. The unit can hold up to 16 effects in total, with more becoming available in the future via the Effect Loader app.

Priced at around 280 euros, the PX-1 also features stereo input/output jacks and supports control via external footswitches and an expression pedal.

    PA stuff in a package

The Alto TrueSonic TS112C is a pillar-array-style newcomer that packs everything needed for public address: a mixer, a 12-inch subwoofer, and eight 2.75-inch tweeters arranged in a column. The built-in amplifiers deliver a peak power of up to 1200 watts, with a reported continuous output of 400 watts for bass and 200 watts for treble.

Four DSP speaker modes—Normal, Live, DJ, and Custom—make it easy to tailor the overall sound to different situations. Bluetooth streaming from phones, tablets, and laptops is also supported.

The TS112C is described as a space- and time-saving sound solution for a wide range of musical performances, as it’s essentially ready to go with just a single cable connection. Standing two metres tall and weighing just over 24 kilograms, the speaker/amplifier unit is priced at around 575 euros.
