Gramex awarded the Music Video of the Year prize to the Leticia Choir at the Choir Gala
On Saturday 8 November, Gramex presented the Music Video of the Year award at the Choir Gala (Kuorogaala) organised by Sulasol at the Kaapelitehdas in Helsinki. The Music Video of the Year award went to the Leticia choir, conducted by Saara Kemppainen, for their performance of “Nää maat” (These Lands). The award is part of the gala’s public vote, which celebrates the best achievements and creators in the choir world during the year. Gramex’s award highlights the audiovisual creativity of choirs and raises awareness of the importance of music videos in choir culture.
The choir gala celebrates the best of the choir world and the audience’s favorites in various categories. During the evening, you can also enjoy performances by the Vaskivuori High School Chamber Choir and Lain Huuto. The event is organized by Sulasol ry in cooperation with NetTicket.fi, Gramex, Teosto, the Finnish Workers’ Music Association, the Finnish Choral Conductors’ Association, and Kuoromusiikin kausikonsertit.
Gramex is a copyright organization for performers and producers of recorded music. Choirs should also become Gramex customers if they release recordings or music videos.
