Ares and emma & matilda win awards at the Emma Gala
Emma Gala, Finland’s largest and most prestigious annual music industry awards event, honoured last year’s most successful artists and music professionals for the 43rd time on Saturday 7 March.
The winners of the almost sold out Espoo Metro Arena gala were Ares (Rap of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Most Streamed Domestic Song of the Year) and emma & matilda (Album of the Year, Band of the Year, Alternative of the Year), who won three Emma Awards. Emma Johansson of emma & matilda was also awarded Music Writer of the Year. Lauri Haav, who also won the Artist of the Year Award, won the public vote.

The Emma Gala is organised by Music Producers – IFPI Finland ry, one of Gramex’s member organisations. Gramex was a partner in the Newcomer of the Year Award category, which was won by Ares.
