An international ISNI workshop took place in Helsinki

Gramex and Teosto hosted a workshop on ISNI identifiers from the perspective of the music industry. The session was facilitated by Vanessa Bastian and Jenny Pretz from DDEX, both experts in music metadata and identifiers. The workshop brought together experts from Finland, Denmark and the Netherlands.

Finnish copyright organisations have been pioneers in adopting the ISNI identifier. The work is part of a project supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture and coordinated by the National Library of Finland. Anna Vuopala (Ministry of Education and Culture) and Katerina Sornova (National Library of Finland) also attended the workshop.

Thanks to the project, Finnish copyright organisations are among the first in the world to have adopted ISNI identifiers extensively, improving the quality, reliability and interoperability of data in the creative sector.
