AEPO-ARTIS, representing European music and audiovisual performers, has appealed to the Finnish government to reverse the cut in private copying. According to the petition, the cut is not in line with EU legal obligations.

Don't Kill The Culture campaign, launched on Tuesday 11 June, calls on policymakers to preserve fair stage of private copying compensation. According to creative sector organisations, the Finnish government's planned cut from 11 million to 5.5 million would be unjustified and devastating to the cultural offer across Finland.
