    Music’s visibility in the media fluctuates

    The decline of music in print media continues, but the audiovisual sector is still willing to invest in traditional formats.

    Endemol Shine Finland: Dance Brothers combine dance and music

    Dance Brothers is a 10-part drama series about dancing brothers, produced by Endemol Shine Finland. The series is the first Finnish-language production commissioned by Netflix to have a worldwide premiere on the service. Music Supervisor Ida Karimaa was in charge of the music for the series, together with series director Taito Kawata and sound designer Akseli Soini.


    Gramex made fourth annual payment

    In December, Gramex paid out 4.3 million EUR in the fourth distribution of the year, in which around 8 000 Finnish music performers and producers received remuneration. This year was the first year in which Gramex made four distributions for all main use types such as public performance and broadcasting.

The timeless love stories of Finns of different ages and backgrounds are also told through music - mostly Finnish pop and pop songs. The music rights for the programme are arranged with Gramex and Teosto.
