    Spekti: How making friends laugh became a career

    Rap music already caught Spekti’s interest during his upper secondary school years. After completing his military service, the Finnish rap group Trilogia was formed. Spekti first heard about Gramex when Trilogia collaborated with another Finnish rap group, Fintelligens.

    The position of women in the music industry is improving slowly – shares of royalties are increasing

    The gender distribution in the Finnish music industry is still changing very slowly. The proportion of women among music creators, performers and producers only grows in small increments from year to year. However, the distributions paid to women are increasing more than the proportion of women. Although the differences are still large, both Teosto’s and Gramex’s statistics show that women’s visibility and earnings in the Finnish music industry are increasing.

    Emma Gala 2026: New Names Competing in the Newcomer of the Year by Gramex Category

    Finland’s largest and most prestigious annual music industry awards, the Emma Gala, will take place this year at Espoo Metro Arena on Saturday, 7 March. Gramex is once again partnering in the Newcomer of the Year award category. Gramex has sponsored the Newcomer of the Year category in previous years as well.
