    15.10.2024
On 15 October, Gramex paid out 7.3 million euros in the autumn distribution, compensating 9 215music performers and producers represented by Gramex in Finland. For the first time, more accurate international DDEX reporting was also piloted for some of the rights owners.

The main types of compensation accounted for were radio play compensation, background music compensation and remunerations abroad.

For the first time, Gramex also piloted reporting to some rights owners in accordance with the international DDEX reporting standard.

”As a member of standards setting organisation DDEX, Gramex has agreed to implement a newly released standard for reporting revenue. This reporting was piloted in the autumn distribution, giving some producers a more detailed explanation of their payments”, says Katja Pönkkä, manager, data and systems at Gramex.

According to Pönkä, more detailed reporting will be extended to all Gramex rights owners in the future.

“In the future all our performers and producers will benefit from this by getting more accurate and transparent information how their tracks are played in Finland and abroad.”
