Gramex provides licences for playing phonogram music as background music in live sports broadcasts, in broadcasting companies’ online services and in selected on-demand services.
Who is this for?
Gramex provides licences for playing phonogram music as background music in live sports broadcasts, in broadcasting companies’ online services and in on-demand services (outlined below in the Gramex appendix). The licence is granted for use only in Finland. Remuneration is based on the number of viewers and the use of phonograms. Annual minimum remuneration is €100.

Billing
Remuneration invoices are prepared monthly unless otherwise agreed. The broadcasting company has a 14-day payment term. Penalty interest will be charged for late payments in accordance with applicable laws.
Reporting
The broadcasting company submits a report to Gramex. The report details the broadcasts that have played phonograms and their average number of viewers. The broadcasting company does not have specify the actual phonograms played.
