  • Small-scale internet radio

Gramex provides phonogram licences for small-scale internet radio broadcasting in Finland.

    Who is this for?

Gramex provides licences for small-scale internet radio broadcasting (so-called webcasting) available for listening online in Finland. This licence covers internet radio stations with under 50,000 euros in annual income. The licence does not cover the use of music in advertisements. You can purchase the licence directly from Gramex’s online store. It takes effect immediately once paid.

What are the limitations of this licence?

If the webcasting radio’s annual income exceeds €50,000, the radio must obtain an actual internet radio licence from Gramex. The actual internet radio licence is also required for internet radio stations which broadcast content that is mainly used to support a company’s own operations. This includes, for instance, playing background music in customer facilities and work spaces.

If you need a licence for broadcasting internet radio abroad, please contact Gramex’s customer service for licensing clients. (See bottom of page.)
