Gramex remunerations for use of music are collected from, for instance, radio stations, stores that use background music, restaurants and various establishments, and AV producers. Approximately 31,000 locations and businesses that use music have signed Gramex agreements. Gramex collects and distributes copyright remunerations effectively, accurately and with small overhead. Gramex also distributes remunerations collected from over 30 other countries. In addition to remunerations, Gramex does other work to promote music. We defend the rights of artists and producers and fund efforts related to music promotion and export. Gramex funds the efforts of, for instance, MES (the Finnish Music Foundation), Music Finland and the Copyright Information and Anti-Piracy Centre.
