Emma 2025 nominees announced!
The nominees for the 2025 Emma Awards were announced on Wednesday 10.12.2025.
Prizes are awarded in more than twenty categories. In the Domestic Artist/Band of the Year category, the public gets to choose the winner. The voting on Radio Suomipop’s website will include all nominees except for the Producer of the Year and Music Writer of the Year categories. In addition, the Music Producers’ Board decides each year on the winners of the Special and Golden Emma awards.
Gramex is a partner in the Newcomer of the Year award category. Gramex has sponsored the Newcomer of the Year category in previous years.
The awards will be presented at the biggest annual music industry awards event in Finland, the Emma Gala, which will take place at Espoo Metro Arena on Saturday 7 March.
Here’s how the nominations were distributed
Ares received the most nominations. The artist, who is fast becoming one of Finland’s most popular artists, has been nominated in no less than six categories: artist of the year, album of the year, newcomer of the year, song of the year, rap of the year and national artist/band of the year (public vote).
APATHIA , released by Arex in January, has been number one in the official Finnish album charts for up to 12 weeks, and the album’s massive hit Menestys on paras tapa kostaa is the most streamed song in Finland in 2025. Ares has also risen to the top of his genre on the radio, and his songs have seen a significant increase in play during the year.
Emma & Matilda (5 nominations) and Averagekidluke, Bizi, Isac Elliot, Komiat and OLGA, nominated in four categories, also picked up nominations.

These artists will perform at the Emma Gala
The 43rd edition of the Emma Gaala offers, as usual, a unique opportunity to see the most interesting Finnish artists and bands of the year perform in one evening.
The 2026 Emma Gala will feature Amorphis, one of our most internationally successful metal bands, Isac Elliot, one of the top names in Finnish pop music, and Lauri Haav, who has had several chart-toppers and record-breaking streams during the year, Kaija Koo, the only artist to have won the Female Soloist of the Year Emma three times, JVG, who released their album Rallikansa in October and has already pre-streamed a double platinum album, and Nelli Matula, known for her catchy hits and energetic gigs. In addition, Ares, Bizi, helmi marleena, Jore & Zpoppa, Komiat and Sara Bee will be seen on stage.
The Gala can also be watched from the comfort of your own home, and the live TV broadcast will be available on Nelonen and Ruutu from 7 March 2026 at 20.00.
