Conductor’s Recordings: Your Music, Our Mission

Music wouldn’t exist without the hard work of conductors, performers, and producers. We help music pros focus on what matters: creating new musical experiences. Founded in 1967 as a non-profit, Gramex is Finland’s copyright society for recorded music, ensuring music professionals get paid for their work.

Licences and Compensation: We’ve Got You Covered

We handle selling licences for your recorded music, collecting payments in Finland and abroad, and paying them directly to your account. Companies and organisations needing music get their licences from Gramex.

Gramex Rights: Your Performance, Your Earnings

Neighbouring rights, or Gramex rights, protect the rights of performers and producers over their sound recordings. These rights ensure you get paid when your recordings are publicly performed, broadcast, or used in other ways. Unlike copyright, which protects the composition, Gramex rights protect the actual performance and recording.

Enabling Music: Your Rights, Our Mission

Gramex supports music in many ways. We defend artists’ and producers’ rights, fund music promotion and export, and support the Finnish Music Foundation, Music Finland, and the Copyright Information and Anti-Piracy Centre. We also actively influence legislation in Finland and Europe to ensure your rights are protected in the future.
