We are looking for a Data and Systems Specialist
In this role, you will focus on the development of data and systems related to audio recordings, rights owners, and royalty distribution processes. You will also be responsible for automating data processes and improving data management across our database systems. You will join a team of five specialists, bringing your expertise in identifying, defining, and enhancing data processes to help optimize and streamline our operations to meet the evolving needs of the music industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Identifying and defining development needs and communicating them to our external software development partner which is responsible for the technical implementation.
- Collaborating closely with internal colleagues and external stakeholders, including an international network in the music and copyright services industry.
- Participating in global development projects related to data processing and optimization and aligning the initiatives and technical aspects with Gramex’s operations and systems.
- Overseeing and coordinating the development of data automation and integration of diverse data sources to meet the Gramex’s system requirements, with a particular focus on integrations and API-solutions.
What we are looking for:
- A relevant education for example Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, computer science, information services or similar field
- Work experience in which you have gained a solid technical understanding of data management, databases, and system processes. Ideally you have fresh insights and experience of the latest technologies related to the data pipelines and data management field.
- Capability in defining technical needs and coordinating development, although direct programming is not required.
- Good collaboration and communication skills to work with international partners as well as internal teams.
- The ability to adapt and grow the role based on your strengths and interests
- Proficient English language skills – Finnish is seen as an advantage
This is a new role within the team and therefore there is room to tailor the final job description to match your skills and interests, for example focusing on data analytics, BI tools, or AI.

Practicalities:
This is a full-time and permanent position, in which you will be directly employed by Gramex. The role is located in Espoo, and we hope you are able to work at the office at least a few days per week as part of a flexible hybrid model. Salary in this position is 3800-5000 € /month (gross) depending on the level of your experience, and will be negotiated individually.
