Artists and producers

The most important practical function of Gramex is to collect remunerations for the use of phonograms and to distribute the collected remunerations to those entitled to them.

Gramex administers and promotes the rights, prescribed in the Copyright Act, of performers whose performances have been recorded on phonograms and of producers of phonograms, collects remunerations under the Copyright Act, and distributes the remunerations among those entitled to them.

Gramex deliveres almost nine tenths of the collected payments to the clients and music promotion activities, as the rest is used for administration of Gramex.

Gramex is a nonprofit organisation, governed by the representatives of artists' and producers' organisations.
